Sewing through the Decades was on the Menu for us in this weeks Sewing Challenge…
Over at…
I went with the Fabulous
50′s
When…
Peter Pan Collars where considered EVERY day attire, Bobby Socks where all the rage, Saddle Shoes were a Must!!!
And…
Planning Parties was, WELL… the IN thing to do..
But there were times when things didn’t Always go as Planned…
You were so Excited to know that ALL your friends had planned to be there…
The telephone seemed to be RINGING off the hook…
But…
As the Hour Approached for ALL your guests to arrive….
You found yourself Waiting!!!
And…
WAITING!!!
With HOPE that your friends will still show up… You go ahead and decide to start the…
MUSIC!!!
But…
With ALL that Singing along you were doing…. Thirst begins to set in…
And…
Your SURE that just drinking one of the Soda Pops will still leave plenty for your Guests when they HOPEFULLY arrive…
But…
Once again you find yourself BORED and that’s when you remember the Box of Bubble Gum that your Mom bought to give to your friends as they arrived…
You..
SURELY don’t think it would hurt anything to try ONE piece….. After all there will still be plenty to go around…
Once your guests MAYBE arrive…
After reading the Box you quickly pop one in your mouth and begin to happily chew..
The next thing you know… You have EXACTLY what the box say’s
DOUBLE the BUBBLE!!!
And…
You are so EXCITED!!
That is… Until it…
POPS!!!
ALL Over You….
And….
Just then the Phone Rings…. It’s your Good Friend Mary Lou…
“WHAT..??”…
you say
Mary Lou….
Has just told you that Everybody that was supposed to be at your Party has just come down with the….
CHICKEN POX!!!!
Well… It wasn’t a Total Loss…. You still had fun!!!
And then… You begin to WONDER
Who was it that EVER said you needed Lots of People to have FUN!!!
Well… Whoever that person was… They are MOST certainly Wrong!!!
Because you have just attended the BEST party Ever!!
And…
The Crazy thing is...???
You were the ONLY guest!
Well..
I guess it’s time for you to Clean up and get out of those Pesky Petticoats…
